”Foster the People” an American indie rock band formeed in Los Angeles, California in 2009, released their latest and first album “Torches” in 2010. Blowing people away with their hit “Pumped Up Kicks”, it peaked at number three on the Hot 100, playing eight consecutive weeks at the position. The band was gold certified in Germany and the song was ranked as the sixth best selling. 3.61 million copies were sold, Mark Foster, member of the band said the song was written to show the issues of gun violence amongst youth. It also shows the lack of love, family and isolation. Overall the album is a must listen, you’ll be amazed by their songs.
